decimal numeral system

We use the decimal numeral system, which was born in India in the 17th century and arrived in Europe through the Arabian people.

This system only uses ten symbols or digits: 0, 1 ,2 ......., 9. Each digit can go in different positions, which are the different categories of units.

In this system, ten units in an inferior order make one unit of the superior order. The value of a digit depends on its position; that is why we call it positional system.

Now let's see the order of units with more than 9 digits:    3.454.430.234.345
