Exponential functions

A function is exponential if it has this algebraic expression:

Its domain is R and its range is (0,∞), and it has no symmetry. It is decreasing if 0 < a < 1, or increasing if a > 1, in its domain. It has no extrema. The graph always contains (0,1).
