Relationship between ratios of some angles

- Complementary angles, α and 90o – α: 



- Suplementary angles, α and 180o - α: 

 

- Opposite angles, α and – α:

 

- Angles whose difference is 180o, α and 180o + α:


 

- Angles greater than 360o. If x is the remainder when we divide it by 360o , then

 

Example: if you know that sin 65o = 0,9, calculate cos 25o , sin 295o, sin 425o , sin 115o and sin 245o .
· cos 25o = sin 65o = 0,9
· sin 295o = sin (- 65o )= - sin 65o = - 0,9
· sin 425o = sin 65o = 0,9
· sin 115o = sin (180o - 65o )= sin 65o = 0,9
· sin 245o = sin (180o + 65o )= -sin 65o = -0,9
