parameters

When you are studying a quantitative variable, the graphs give you a fast information. But if you want to make a deeper analysis, you need numerical information too, the parameters.

There are two types of parameters:

  • Measures of location: mean, mode and median. These ones give us information about which the value in the “center” of the distribution data is.
  • Measures of dispersion: range, mean deviation, standard deviation and variance. These ones tell us how far from the center the distribution data are.
