There are different types of real functions with real variables. The main are:

- Algebraic functions:

· Polynomial functions: f(x) = x³ – 5x² – 11

· Rational functions:

· Irrational functions:

- Trascendental functions:

· Exponential functions: f(x) = 3^x+1

· Logarithmic functions: f(x) = log₇ (x² + 3)

· Trigonometric functions: f(x) = tan (2x – 7)
